In our therapeutic journey together, I use a humanistic and existential approach to help you navigate the complexities of life and embrace your unique experience. I also pull from various modalities, such as Solution-Focused and DBT, when appropriate.

Humanistic/Existential Therapy:

Humanistic therapy places a strong emphasis on your innate capabilities for personal growth and self-discovery. It views each individual as a whole person with the ability to make choices and take responsibility for those choices. The therapist is authentic and builds a genuine relationship with unconditional positive regard.
…Basically, you’re already freaking amazing, and we’ll explore your strengths, the things you care about, and how you can be your true, amazing self. Also… our sessions are a NO JUDGEMENT ZONE.

Existential therapy explores the search for meaning and encourages authentic living, despite what others around you may think or influence.
…Does your outside voice say ‘Yes’ to things sometimes when your inside voice is saying ‘No’? We will talk about your journey, the things that make you who you are, how to empower yourself, and live a more meaningful life . It’s okay to not have all of the answers.

Collaborative Exploration:

Our sessions are collaborative, with a focus on creating a safe and non-judgmental space for self-exploration. I will support you as you navigate your journey! …I’m here to help you figure things out, find ways to feel better, and work towards your goals.

Solution-Focused

Solution-focused therapy is a collaborative, goal-oriented approach that focuses on identifying and amplifying clients’ strengths and resources to create positive change. Therapists in this model help clients envision their desired future and work together to develop practical, achievable steps to reach their goals. By emphasizing solutions, solution-focused therapy empowers clients to build on their strengths and find effective ways to navigate life’s challenges. …We will figure out realistic and attainable goals to make positive changes faster!
